DB Release Executive / Database Deployment Engineer

About the Role

We are hiring DB Release Executives / Database Deployment Engineers to manage end-to-end database release activities, including script validation, deployments, rollback preparation, and supporting Dev/QA teams with DB-related needs. This role ensures deployment accuracy, consistency, and proper version control across all DB environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute database scripts (DDL, DML, Stored Procedures, Functions) in various environments.
• Validate, review, and test vendor or developer-provided scripts before deployment.
• Prepare rollback scripts, deployment plans, and required documentation.
• Support Dev and QA teams with database refreshes, cloning, and data setup activities.
• Maintain proper database release versioning, audit logs, and deployment history.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate with DBA for environment-related support.
• Ensure all database changes follow release and change management processes.
• Work closely with development teams to understand changes, dependencies, and risks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DB release/deployment roles.
• Strong understanding of SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc.
• Experience handling database deployments in UAT/Production environments.
• Knowledge of DB types (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server — mention your stack).
• Experience in writing and validating rollback scripts.
• Familiarity with database versioning, logs, and deployment documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills across Dev, QA, and DBA teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with CI/CD for database deployments (Flyway, Liquibase, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of database performance basics, indexing, and schema design.
• Exposure to ITIL / release management processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
