DCAS -EMT / Emergency Medical Technician

Key ResponsibilitiesEmergency Medical Care

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents as per DCAS response time standards
• Perform patient assessment, triage, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
• Provide emergency care including oxygen therapy, airway management, bleeding control, splinting, CPR, and AED use
• Assist paramedics or senior medical staff during advanced medical interventions

Patient Handling & Transport

• Safely lift, move, and transport patients using approved equipment and techniques
• Monitor patient condition continuously during transport and report any changes
• Ensure patient dignity, confidentiality, and comfort at all times

Ambulance & Equipment Management

• Maintain ambulance cleanliness, readiness, and operational safety
• Check, restock, and maintain medical supplies and emergency equipment
• Report vehicle or equipment faults immediately to supervisors

Documentation & Reporting

• Accurately complete patient care reports and incident documentation
• Follow DCAS documentation, reporting, and data confidentiality guidelines
• Coordinate handover of patients to hospital medical staff with clear communication

Compliance & Professional Standards

• Adhere strictly to DCAS clinical protocols, UAE healthcare regulations, and safety policies
• Participate in mandatory training, drills, and continuous professional development
• Maintain professional behavior while interacting with patients, families, hospitals, and emergency services

Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory

• Valid DCAS EMT License (active and transferable)
• Recognized EMT certification (Basic / Intermediate as per DCAS scope)
• Valid UAE driving license (Light Vehicle) – preferred
• BLS / CPR certification (ACLS is an advantage)

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an EMT in ambulance services, hospitals, or emergency response units
• UAE experience preferred

• Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit to perform lifting and prolonged emergency duties
• Willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays

Working Conditions

• Rotational shifts (day/night)
• Field-based emergency response across Dubai
• Exposure to emergency, trauma, and high-risk environments

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
