Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Dealership Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the dealership's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable processes. This position requires a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify a high volume of invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Maintain and update vendor files with current payment terms, contact information, and account statements.
• Prepare checks for payment, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place before processing.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures by analyzing accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve accounts payable functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations regarding financial transactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in an accounts payable role, ideally within the automotive dealership industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with vendors and team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
