. Roles and Responsibilities
A. Academic Leadership
- Provide leadership in teaching, research, and extension activities of the Faculty of Legal Studies
- Ensure quality and relevance of legal education in line with UGC and BCI norms
- Supervise implementation of curriculum, syllabi, and academic calendar
B. Curriculum & Program Development
- Initiate and review LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D., diploma, and certificate programs
- Ensure curriculum alignment with:
- UGC guidelines
- Bar Council of India regulations
- National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
- Promote interdisciplinary and clinical legal education
C. Research & Innovation
- Promote research culture, funded projects, and legal research centers
- Encourage faculty and scholars to publish in UGC Care–listed journals
- Support organization of seminars, workshops, conferences, and moot courts
D. Faculty Management & Development
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate faculty members
- Recommend faculty workload, promotions, and development programs
- Ensure compliance with CAS (Career Advancement Scheme)
E. Student Affairs
- Oversee academic progress, discipline, mentoring, and grievances of students
- Promote student participation in:
- Moot courts
- Legal aid clinics
- Internships and advocacy training
F. Administration & Governance
- Chair Faculty Board / Faculty Council meetings
- Coordinate with:
- IQAC for accreditation and quality assurance
- Registrar for statutory compliance
- Controller of Examinations for examinations and evaluation
- Prepare and submit reports, proposals, and budgets
G. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- UGC Regulations
- Bar Council of India (BCI) norms
- University Acts, Statutes, and Ordinances
- Assist in inspections, audits, and accreditation processes (NAAC, NIRF)
5. Powers & Functions
- Academic supervision of departments under the Faculty
- Recommend appointment of examiners and paper setters
- Recommend disciplinary action related to academics
- Represent Faculty of Legal Studies in statutory bodies
6. Tenure
- As per UGC/University Statutes (normally 3 years, extendable as per rules)

Pay: ₹74,187.68 - ₹100,000.00 per month
