Debt Collector - Qatar

Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and professional Debt Collector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for contacting individuals or businesses with overdue accounts, Support the credit control team with timely collection of customer payments and submit the invoices. This role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Performing invoice submissions and ensuring timely collection of payments in accordance with the company’s credit control process.
• Contacts customers by phone, email, and mail to recover a debt.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and client communications.
• Negotiate partial repayments and payment plans when possible.
• Keeps track of payment due dates and sends reminders.
• Maintains confidentiality and the utmost discretion.
• Manage multiple delinquent accounts for debt collection efforts.
• Record client payments and match them against invoices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Empathy and patience to handle sensitive situations while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, balancing personal targets with group goals.
• Experience in debt collection or a related financial role with a minimum of 2 years in the industry.
• Strong organizational skills & Excellent negotiation skills
• Problem-solving mindset & Professional phone etiquette
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages can be advantageous for diverse client bases.
• Ability to prioritize tasks & manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Should have a valid Qatar driving license and possess good knowledge of local geographical locations.
