Debt Resolution Specialist

As a Debt Resolution Specialist you will motivate and guide consumers through the collections process while providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving consumers’ issues, complaints, and inquiries, keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.

Location: Our office in Rochester, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication from consumers and their representatives via inbound & outbound phone calls, email, and chats.
  • Offer solutions to help consumers resolve their accounts through effective negotiation and listening skills.
  • Maintain clear and cohesive notes and documentation related to all open and pending receivable balances being pursued.
  • Excel in collections performance by exceeding goals and key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Adhere to expected quality and compliance standards within the collections industry.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Collections Specialist and/or in a relatable role such as sales, customer service, banking, financial services.
  • Skilled in de-escalating conversations, building trust, and presenting effective payment plans under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Customer-focused and adaptable to different personality types.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Great typing skills to be able to chat, email consumers professionally and quickly.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel
  • Apple products / Mac experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED. College education is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
