Deck Designer/CAD Drafter

Do you have a sharp eye for design and the technical skills to bring projects to life on screen before they’re ever built? At Legacy Decks, we create high-end outdoor living spaces—decks, screen rooms, roofs, fireplaces, patios and more—that transform the way families live outside. We’re looking for a Designer/CAD Specialist to join our team and help us deliver projects with precision, creativity, and excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Create accurate CAD drawings and layouts for decks and outdoor living projects.
• Develop 3D renderings and video walkthroughs to help clients visualize their space.
• Support sales by participating in showroom design meetings with clients.
• Research product offerings and provide updated supply parameters for design use.
• Produce detailed material take-offs to hand off to estimating and project management.
• Build and maintain a visual library of imagery, CAD models, and templates for efficiency and consistency.
• Prepare professional presentation packages that showcase the design and bring client ideas to life.
• Collaborate with sales consultants and project managers to ensure every design is buildable and accurate.
• Support Production and Build teams in executing your design and CAD's

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience with CAD software (SketchUp preferred; AutoCAD or similar accepted).
• Ability to create accurate 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and video walkthroughs. (Lumion, V-Ray or similiar)
• Strong attention to detail—mistakes in drawings cost time and money.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in construction or outdoor living design is a plus.
• Someone who enjoys thinking out side the box but also knows code!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
