Job Overview

Izy Global Services LLC is hiring reliable and professional Medical Courier Drivers to support a federal contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Drivers will transport laboratory specimens, medical materials, and pharmaceuticals between VA Medical Centers and clinics.

This is a route-based position with assigned daily routes. Drivers must be dependable, punctual, and capable of handling time-sensitive medical deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled pickups and deliveries at VA Medical Centers and outpatient clinics
• Safely transport laboratory specimens, including temperature-sensitive materials
• Maintain proper handling of ambient, refrigerated, frozen, and incubated items
• Ensure chain-of-custody and secure transport at all times
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules without deviation
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or issues
• Complete pickup and delivery confirmations for each stop
• Maintain professional conduct at all VA facilities

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record required)
• Must be able to pass background check (VA facility requirement)
• Reliable vehicle (cargo van preferred; SUV may be considered for limited routes)
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs using a hand truck
• Strong time management and reliability
• Must be able to follow strict procedures and schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior medical courier or delivery experience
• Experience transporting lab specimens or pharmaceuticals
• Familiarity with GPS tracking and route-based delivery systems
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards (DOT, OSHA, etc.)

Equipment & Work Conditions

• Drivers will use approved vehicles equipped for medical transport
• Temperature-controlled handling required (training provided)
• Routes may include urban and rural locations
• Early morning or extended routes depending on assignment
