Duties

• Prepare and assemble deli products such as sandwiches, salads, wraps, and cold salads with precision and care
• Operate POS systems to process sales efficiently and accurately
• Engage with customers by offering product recommendations, upselling items, and ensuring a memorable shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, including food handling and food safety protocols
• Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness
• Assist with cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and transaction processing
• Support food preparation tasks
• Uphold sanitation practices by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations in a quick service or fast-food setting

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or retail environments such as restaurants, grocery stores or cafes is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations
• Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts
• Experience in cashiering, food handling, or kitchen work within the food industry is advantageous

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
