Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and culinary skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality deli products while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and other meal options.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations based on dietary needs or preferences.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Participate in menu planning and special catering events as required.
• Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a deli or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
• Experience in meal preparation, cooking, and fine dining is a plus.
• Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food handling and presentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is advantageous.
