Delivery and Customer Relations Specialist

About the role

Harrison's Poultry is a 4 generation family-owned, USDA-certified poultry company with decades of experience delivering fresh, high-quality products to restaurants, institutions, and retailers throughout the Chicagoland area. We are looking for a motivated and dependable Delivery and Customer Relations Specialist to join our team in Glenview, IL. This role is a key part of our operations — you'll be the face of Harrison's to our customers on every route. Time worked in our retail store also provides the opportunity to earn customer tips.

Key responsibilities

• Safely deliver fresh poultry and food products to customers on assigned routes
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional, friendly service
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and courteous manner
• Verify orders for accuracy and completeness before and during delivery
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct pre/post-trip inspections
• Coordinate with the operations team to resolve delivery issues or changes
• Accurately complete delivery logs, receipts, and paperwork
• Assist in the retail store as needed, providing excellent face-to-face customer service

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record
• 1+ years of delivery, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical demands of the role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Food industry or perishables experience a plus
