Box Truck Delivery Driver Job Description

We are looking for a committed and active Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team, either Full Time or Part Time. This role is essential to our daily operations, requiring reliable delivery of products to multiple locations, physical engagement in loading and unloading, and supporting our commissary and store operations. You’ll represent our company professionally, enhancing our reputation operational success. This job requires driving 24 foot box trucks.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely deliver bakery goods and supplies across multiple locations using a 24-foot box truck with a lift gate.
• Actively load and unload deliveries and assist store managers in organizing and storing items upon arrival.
• Maintain daily vehicle inspections, ensure truck safety, and adhere to DOT regulations.
• Accurately complete required logs, mileage, and documentation.
• Adapt to varying start times, ranging from 10am-12pm, with later start times during peak periods in December.
• Work an 8-10 hour shift on average, with return times varying based on traffic and delivery volume.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a delivery driver with the ability to operate a 24-foot box truck with a lift gate.
• Physical ability to frequently lift or move heavy items throughout each shift.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license; no traffic violations.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• For full time, availability Monday-Saturday, with an off day plus off Sundays.
• For part time, at least availability for 3 full shifts during the course of the work week.
