Key Responsibilities
- Transportation: Drive vehicles to transport goods, materials, and products to and from warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload materials and merchandise, utilizing equipment like forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, inventory, and vehicle maintenance.
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance: Inspect vehicles and equipment for mechanical issues before and after use, and report any malfunctions to supervisors.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines for the warehouse and while transporting cargo.
- Warehouse Duties: Perform general warehouse tasks as needed, such as picking, packing, and organizing inventory.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, potentially handling customer complaints or inquiries during deliveries.
Key Requirements
- License: A valid driver's license, often with a specific class for the type of vehicle being operated (e.g., a commercial driver's license for heavier trucks).
