Job Summary:

The Company Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport employees, clients, or goods to designated destinations in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, vehicle maintenance schedules, and company policies to ensure smooth operations. The Company Driver will also be expected to handle basic vehicle maintenance and ensure the vehicle remains clean and presentable at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation: Drive company vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, or cars) to transport goods, equipment, or employees to specified destinations, ensuring timely delivery or pick-up.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies while driving. Ensure all safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and securing cargo, are followed.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to save time and fuel, considering traffic, road conditions, and weather.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, trip logs, and any other required documentation for operational and reporting purposes.
• Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous service to clients, colleagues, and the public while representing the company. Communicate any delays or issues promptly to management or relevant stakeholders.
• Cargo Handling: Assist with loading and unloading of goods or equipment, ensuring they are securely transported.
• Vehicle Cleanliness: Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times, both inside and out, reflecting a professional image of the company.
• Communication: Stay in constant communication with the office or dispatch team to report on status, delays, or traffic issues that may affect scheduled deliveries.
• Adherence to Schedules: Ensure that deliveries and pickups are completed on time, adhering to deadlines and schedules set by the company or clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Driver’s License: A clean, valid driver’s license, with no major violations or accidents on the record. A commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required depending on the type of vehicle driven.
• Experience: Proven experience in a similar driver role. Experience with operating specific types of vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Local Routes: In-depth knowledge of the local area, routes, and traffic conditions to navigate efficiently.
• Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with management, clients, and other employees.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain accurate records.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting, loading, and unloading goods as necessary (especially in delivery driver roles).
• Customer-Oriented: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Basic Vehicle Maintenance: Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking oil, tire pressure, and maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Own Visa
• Driver's License
• First Aid or Safety Training: Certification in first aid or safety courses may be beneficial.
• Experience with GPS systems and route optimization software.
• Additional Licenses or Certifications: Relevant certifications related to the vehicle type driven (e.g., CDL for larger vehicles).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Physical ability to lift and carry packages or goods, depending on the nature of the job).
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions and varied terrain.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
