Schedule

4 days per week
Workdays and delivery routes are assigned by management based on operational needs.

Drivers must be available to start early, work extended hours when necessary, and adjust schedules depending on delivery routes and customer demand.

Compensation

$900 per week

Employees in this position are compensated $900 per week for a four-day work schedule. This compensation covers all duties associated with deliveries, warehouse assistance, and operational tasks performed during scheduled workdays.

Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting fresh and frozen seafood products to customers safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism. Drivers also assist with warehouse operations when necessary.

Responsibilities

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following duties:

  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles on assigned routes
  • Load and unload seafood products using proper food-handling procedures
  • Verify order accuracy before leaving the warehouse
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect payments and complete delivery documentation when required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle
  • Communicate with management regarding delays, route changes, or issues
  • Enter and exit walk-in freezers during loading and unloading
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including order preparation and product organization
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies
  • Maintain professional behavior with customers and coworkers
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management related to company operations

Requirements

  • Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
  • Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
  • Fluent Spanish required (speaking and understanding)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in cold storage and freezer environments
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Delivery or food distribution experience is preferred but not required

Overnight Travel Requirement

Certain delivery routes may require drivers to stay overnight depending on distance, route schedule, or delivery timing. When assigned, drivers must comply with overnight route requirements as part of their job responsibilities.

Communication Requirement

Drivers must maintain active communication with management and dispatch during routes. Employees may be required to use company-approved communication tools, apps, or company email to report delivery status, issues, or delays.

Vehicle Responsibility

Attendance and Reliability

Drivers must be punctual and dependable. Failure to report to work, excessive lateness, or incomplete routes may result in disciplinary action.

Probationary Period

All new hires are subject to a three-month probationary period. During this time, performance, reliability, and adherence to company policies will be evaluated. Employment may be terminated during the probationary period if expectations are not met.

Employee Benefit

Employees may purchase seafood products at company cost plus 10%.

Employment Status

Employment with Carmenita Seafood House Inc. is at-will, meaning either the employee or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause, subject to applicable law.
