Delivery Driver
The Muskingum County Library System is seeking a part time Delivery Driver.
Muskingum County is located in beautiful Southeastern Ohio just 50 miles east of Columbus, Ohio and is the home of Ohio University-Zanesville Campus, Zane State College, and Muskingum University. Location: John McIntire Library is the primary work site
Will travel to all library branches and other locations daily
Salary: $12.79 to $13.91 per hour (20 hours per week)

Job Responsibilities:
- Operates library vehicle to deliver library materials to and from main library, branches and other outreach locations.
- Sorts and places books, CD’s tapes, videos, and supplies into delivery boxes, and loads into vehicle for transporting.
- Adheres to a set delivery schedule unless otherwise directed.
- Informs staff at assigned delivery sites of schedule changes or changes in delivery procedures.
- Keeps vehicle interior and exterior in clean and orderly condition. Fuels vehicle and checks oil, fluid, and coolant levels, and tire pressure. Notes mechanical operating problems and notifies Facilities Manager to initiate maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State of Ohio Driver’s License with an accident-free driving record with no serious moving violations and/or convictions within the past five years.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of: City and county streets and roads; state and local driving laws and regulations; defensive and safe driving practices.
- Ability to: understand and follow instructions.
- move heavy boxes daily, lift up to 75 pounds, bend and perform other physical job related tasks.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and general public.
- Exhibit good public relations as library representative; work independently without immediate direction.
- Skill in: sorting and packing collection materials; driving.
