Delivery Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our small family team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. The post would suit a semi retired person as the hours vary upon client demand.

Duties

• Safely operate flatbed lorry to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
• Load and unload items. Sheeting and roping experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Obtain necessary signatures and documentation upon delivery, maintaining accurate records.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
• Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with knowledge of flatbed operations and commercial driving.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent driving record with no serious offences or violations.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely when required, following health and safety guidelines.
• Good communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late afternoons if required. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: From £12.81 per hour
