Delivery Driver - 3-ton pickup

The driver will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Also, transport materials to and from specified destinations and ensuring safety and security of self and products. Drivers are also expected to inspect and maintain vehicles in good and proper working condition and/or report any maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

ü Transporting goods from store to customers

ü Planning routes and delivery schedules

ü Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

ü Assist with loading of goods.

ü Offloading of goods at site – including exhibitions

ü Collect goods from suppliers and/or from customers for repairs and returns.

ü Verify the contents of inventory loads against invoices and delivery notes.

ü Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.

ü Turn in receipts received from deliveries.

ü Guarantee safety and secure of self and product during the conduct of delivery.

ü Fill in daily log report and submit on time.

ü Alert on any issues of non-delivery and ensure that the goods are managed in compliance with company regulations.

ü Proper handling of invoices and submission in a timely manner.

ü Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.

ü Unload goods as per client specifications

ü Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs.

ü Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer.

ü To be properly attired to represent the company.

Ability & Skills

ü Conversant in English

ü Proper communication with customers in a professional manner.

ü Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.

ü Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.

ü Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuse, and spark plugs.

ü Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.

ü Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles using mobile phone.

ü Ability to pass company driving test, background check and UAE health checks.

ü Strong customer service skills

ü Must possess a positive and professional attitude.

Experience

2-3 years UAE experience driving a 3-ton pickup

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
