What You'll Do:

• Efficient Deliveries: Transport materials, products, and merchandise within your assigned route and timeframe. Keep our customers satisfied with timely deliveries.
• Attention to Detail: Check all paperwork for special instructions and ensure all items are loaded and strapped securely. Unload products into designated customer storage areas.
• Customer Interaction: Verify delivery of items with customers, obtain proper signatures, and handle discrepancies with professionalism.
• Safe Handling: Use hand carts or electric pallet jacks to unload products, including navigating ramps, stairs, or docks in various weather conditions.
• Compliance: Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and our company policies for pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities. Maintain accurate DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Safety First: Adhere to preferred work methods and report any unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain all assigned equipment safely.
• Team Player: Establish positive work relationships with co-workers, management, customers, and vendors to contribute to our company's growth.
• Professionalism: Represent VSI in a professional manner at all times. Attend mandatory staff meetings and participate in group discussions.
• Flexibility: Be prepared for possible overnight routes and occasional travel based on business needs. Train and familiarize yourself with the routes of all CMV drivers as needed.

Qualifications:

Licensure: Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

Experience: Previous delivery driving experience preferred, but not required.

Dependability: Excellent attendance and ability to work overtime as required.

Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and transporting products.

Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
