Job Overview

Thompson Pharmacy & Medical in Traverse City, Michigan is hiring a dependable Delivery Driver / Entry Level DME Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and service durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes and healthcare facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with delivery experience, mechanical ability, or healthcare interest looking to grow in the medical equipment field.

No CDL required. Training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver durable medical equipment (DME) throughout Traverse City and surrounding areas
• Set up home medical equipment including hospital beds, oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, walkers, lift chairs, and more
• Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use of equipment
• Perform minor equipment adjustments and basic troubleshooting
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and infection control procedures
• Load and unload medical equipment safely (up to 75–100 lbs with assistance)
• Maintain company vehicle and safe driving practices

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift heavy medical equipment
• Strong customer service skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Reliable and self-motivated
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Experience in DME, home medical equipment, medical delivery, pharmacy, or healthcare
• Route delivery experience

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling
• Navigating stairs and tight residential spaces
• Working in various weather conditions in Traverse City, Michigan

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
