Delivery Driver Helper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Helper and driver to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that products are loaded and unloaded efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work collaboratively with drivers and warehouse staff. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves heavy lifting and moving of packages.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery drivers in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
• Ensure that all packages are secured properly for transport.
• Help navigate delivery routes efficiently while maintaining timely deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that arise.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Warehouse experience is a plus, particularly in loading and unloading tasks.
• Familiarity with commercial driving or delivery driver experience is advantageous.
• Ability to operate box trucks and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
• Knowledge of route driving techniques to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required; training may be provided.
