Delivery Driver Manager - Local Food

We are hiring a delivery driver manager for our routes delivering food from local farms. The ideal candidate has experience with last-mile home deliveries in greater Boston, and has experience managing a team.

The manager will be the first on the scene to help other drivers load and communicate regarding expectations and issues throughout the day. Candidates must have Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday availability. After loading the manager will complete their own delivery route. All days will begin and end in Stow, Massachusetts. Most deliveries are within 30 miles of Boston. Vans are Ford Transits and Transit Connects, work is relatively low-stress, grateful people on pickup and delivery. Attention to detail and a preference for an early start are a must!

What Cheer Fruit & Produce delivers produce grown by small organic farms in New England to homes in Greater Boston and NYC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- assisting drivers with the loading of their vehicles
- picking up orders from farms nearby
- communicating with team about timing and efficient work practices
- Providing amazing customer service
- delivering produce to customers within set timelines
- loading and unloading a van
- communicating with farms and food buyers
- communicating with other drivers
- maintaining a clean vehicle

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- clean driving record
- experience working on a farm or driving a delivery van
- ability to juggle multiple moving pieces
