Delivery Driver - Medical Equipment

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver, set up, and educate patients on medical equipment used in home healthcare settings. This is more than a driving job—you’ll play a critical role in improving patients’ quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and set up respiratory and durable medical equipment in patients’ homes
• Educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and safety
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure proper function
• Complete delivery documentation and patient reports accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized company vehicle
• Follow all safety protocols and company standards
• Respond to urgent delivery needs as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 65 lbs
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math and problem-solving abilities

Preferred:

• 1+ year of delivery or driving experience
• Experience with medical equipment or healthcare environment
• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and troubleshooting
• Comfortable using technology (Outlook, Word, Excel, tablets)
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Driving for the majority of the workday
• Frequent lifting, bending, walking, and standing
• Regular interaction with patients in home environments
• Potential exposure to contagious illnesses
• Compliance with respiratory protection policies (including N95 fit testing)

Employment Requirements

• Background check (individualized assessment in accordance with applicable laws)
• Drug screening (if applicable)
• Compliance with healthcare credentialing requirements

Additional Information

• Local routes only (no long-distance travel)
• No on-call requirements
• Candidates should reside within 25 miles of Cape Girardeau, MO
• Any driving or delivery experience is encouraged to apply

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
