Delivery Driver non cdl

Imperial Pools in Cheshire CT is looking for experienced truck drivers to join our rapidly growing business and support our existing fleet of drivers. Starting wage will be determined based on experience, existing skill sets and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials to and from our Cheshire CT distribution facility to local retail stores and jobsites.
• Assist in off-loading at retail stores and residential jobsites
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Meet delivery schedules
• Familiarity with ELD or navigation systems is a plus but willing to train the right applicant
• Assist in warehouse when not on the road
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions at retail locations and on jobsites
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills & Requirements:

• Posses a valid and current DOT Med Card to allow for commercial driving
• Be able to pass a DOT drug screening
• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, ELD etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Physically able to lift and maneuver up to 100 Lbs.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• No nights

Work Days:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
