Driver’s license with no major violations. Class C.
Must be licensed for at least 3 years.
MVR points cannot exceed more than 2 points
Must be biliterate/bilingual English & Spanish.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in a warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as, computers, calculators, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, floor jack, hand dolly/trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

1. Occasional exposure to a variety of weather conditions.

4. Exposure to having to delivery in tight spaces requiring to use different delivery equipment.
5. Function in a workplace that is usually moderately quiet but that can be noisy at times.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. You will be required to work Monday through Saturday, typically 5 days, no set days or hours. Sundays when required. Schedule start time TBD.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Collect, load and unload merchandise without assistance.
2. Must fill out (Control De Salida Form) before leaving the warehouse on the daily basis.
3. All invoices must be filled out correctly and completely, return all unused invoices daily.
4. Responsible for accuracy on all orders/deliveries
5. Drive Van/truck and delivery merchandise indicated on route.
6. Inspect truck prior to operating for proper amounts of fuel, oil, water, and see that the tires are inflated and that the lights and brakes work properly. Maintenance log sheet are to be turned in daily.
7. Make minor emergency repairs to truck such as installing light bulbs, fuses, and tire chains.
8. Detect Van driving and operating problems & report them immediately.
9. Follow procedures involved in making deliveries.
10. Display the highest ethical and professional behavior in working with customers and any other outside agencies associated with Avosalc.
11. Adhere to federal and state statutes and regulations.
12. Must wear safety equipment at all times when on the clock. Non slip resistant shoes/boots are required to work.
13. Ensure that Van is clean post and pre shift, includes washing it as needed.
14. Aware of GPS tracking
15. Must attend all driver safety meetings.
16. Exhibit a personality and demonstrate interpersonal skills to relate well with customers.
17. Must be able to add, subtract and multiply.
18. Must call customer service with any questions or concerns in regards to merchandise on invoices.
19. Must call 818-xxx-xxxx for any merchandise missing or shorted, modify invoice accordingly.
20. Responsible for collecting all COD’s accounts indicated on route.
21. Drops off statements and collects payments
22. In the event of theft or robbery an investigation will take place.
23. Must return all returned merchandise to warehouse daily with credit memo.
24. Must turn in all invoices/payments to Accounting daily.
25. Pallets must be stalked in unit when route is finished.
26. Must wear uniform at all times when provided, no exceptions.
27. Responsible for housekeeping/cleaning of the warehouse.
28. Must make sure Vans are properly locked at all times.
29. No personal belongings should be left in Vans
REQUIREMENTS
1. Have 2 years driving experience of a commercial vehicle.
2. Driver’s license with no major violations.
3. Must be licensed for at least 3 years.
4. MVR points cannot exceed more than 2 points.
5. Forklift Certificate
6. Current H6 DMV printout, when applying of employment
7. Must be biliterate/bilingual English & Spanish.
All drivers will be enrolled into CHP Pull Notice and DOT Random Drug Testing Selection. If your name is selected for random drug testing your immediate supervisor will contact you and are mandated by law to take the test. Refusal to go will be a positive drug test and will be reported and will be automatically terminate due to failure to comply with DOT regulations and company policy.
