Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative

Role Purpose

The Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative is primarily responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods to customers, fitters and company locations. The role also requires flexibility to support warehouse and workshop operations, including picking and loading orders, stock handling, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, tidy working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Collections

• Safely deliver goods to customer sites, fitters and company locations, following the delivery board and Warehouse Manager or Installation Managers instructions.
• Pick items required for delivery/collection, load and unload the vehicle, and ensure items are handled carefully and secured correctly to prevent damage.
• Collect items from suppliers when required and return goods to the yard/workshop as instructed.
• Represent the company professionally when on customer sites and communicate any issues, delays or discrepancies promptly.

Site & Fitter Support

Waste, Rubbish Removal & Housekeeping

• Remove rubbish from site when required (including when delivering to fitters/showroom) and clear waste into the skip at the yard.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in the yard, warehouse, vehicle and customer areas, following company procedures.

Warehouse & Workshop Support

• Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including picking, packing, checking goods in, stock checks, stock movement, and organising the storage of materials and equipment.
• Support general maintenance and housekeeping, keeping the warehouse/workshop clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Provide reach truck assistance (where trained/authorised) and follow safe systems of work.
• Assist the manufacturing/workshop team when required and support duties around the showroom and factory as needed.

Vehicle, Safety & Compliance

• Carry out daily/regular vehicle safety checks and report any issues, defects or damage promptly.
• Ensure vans are clean, presentable and kept in good order.
• Work safely at all times, following company procedures and contributing to a positive safety culture.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious, with a professional approach on customer sites.
• Willingness to be flexible and support different areas of the business (deliveries, warehouse, workshop, showroom/factory).
• Able to carry out physical work, including lifting and moving items, and working to safe manual handling practices.
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
