We are a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Demand Planner. This position reports to Supply Chain Director and will work within the Dometic Litchfield, Illinois location.


About The Position


Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products. Creates and maintains forecast models for their channels and customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources.

Your Main Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain Inventory planning models
  • Maintain fill rates at 95%+ to customer base
  • Create model inventory programs based on market
  • Analyze sales trends and customer forecasts to determine where and how much inventory
  • Develop and maintain System planning parameters to maximize Inventory benefit
  • Reduce the amount of excess & obsolete inventory by utilizing vendor return programs and stock balancing
  • Support new product introduction (supply plan, system parameters, monitoring inventory levels)
  • Monitor key performance metrics including DIO/Turns, service levels, and supplier lead times
  • Collaborate with sales, accounts payable, operations, product management, finance and project management to solve issues, improve customer service and maintain S&OP processes.
  • Interact with Sales and Operations that require material coordination
  • Provide timely input to management regarding problems such as shortages and material outages.

Skills & Requirements

A suitable background would be a solid experience within forecasting & demand planning within manufacturing environment – as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; APICS Certification is beneficial
  • 3 years of material forecasting, inventory planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years experience with statistical modeling and analysis
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP; Fourth Shift experience is preferred
  • SQL and Database Querying
  • Project Management experience within Inventory Management/Forecasting/Planning preferred
