Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join our B2C team.

This role will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, aligning inventory with sales and marketing plans, and ensuring high product availability while minimizing excess stock.

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with commercial acumen to support growth in our direct-to-consumer (D2C/eCommerce) business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Analysis o Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts at SKU, product line, and market levels. o Analyze historical sales, market trends, promotions, and customer insights to improve forecast accuracy. o Monitor forecast performance (vs. actuals) and recommend corrective actions. • Inventory Planning & Alignment o Translate demand plans into inventory requirements across multiple warehouses and regions. o Work with supply chain teams to ensure timely replenishment, reduce stockouts, and optimize inventory turns. o Identify slow-moving or excess stock and propose liquidation strategies. • Cross-Functional Collaboration o Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to incorporate campaigns, seasonality, and new product launches into demand plans. o Support the S&OP process by providing demand insights to Finance and Operations. o Share regular updates with management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and action recommendations. • Reporting & KPIs o Create and maintain dashboards/reports to track demand planning KPIs. o Key metrics: forecast accuracy, fill rate, stock availability %, inventory turnover, and reduction in missed sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain (preferably in B2C/eCommerce/retail).
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills; advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with demand planning or ERP tools (Power BI, Tableau, Odoo, SAP, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. Competencies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
