As the Demand Planner – Americas, you will play a critical role in shaping the accuracy and reliability of our demand planning and forecasting processes across the U.S. and Canada. This position requires a highly analytical mindset, strong statistical modeling capabilities, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
You will be responsible for building robust forecasts, supporting the S&OP process, analyzing POS and pricing dynamics, and partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure aligned and data-driven decisions. This role is essential to driving product availability, optimizing inventory, and supporting the commercial success of the Americas region.
This position is based in Stamford, CT with a hybrid schedule (3 days per week onsite).
Develop and refine statistical demand forecasts at SKU, product family, and customer levels.
Apply advanced quantitative forecasting techniques using historical data, trends, seasonality, and external factors.
Maintain and optimize planning parameters including safety stocks, variability factors, and replenishment logic.
Provide analytical inputs for the S&OP cycle including forecast performance, risks, and opportunities.
Conduct scenario planning to support leadership decision-making and business readiness.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align demand, supply, and commercial expectations.
Analyze POS data, price elasticity, and promotional impacts to refine forecasts and inform pricing strategies.
Identify shifts in consumer demand drivers and evaluate promotional effectiveness.
Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI or similar) to visualize KPIs, forecast accuracy, demand trends, and inventory health.
Develop PowerPoint presentations that simplify complex analytics into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Perform data cleansing, root cause analysis, and deep dives into large datasets to support continuous improvement.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment on demand signals and business needs.
Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
Enhance forecasting models, analytics frameworks, and planning processes.
Identify gaps in data infrastructure and recommend improvements.
Stay current with industry best practices in demand planning and analytics.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or a closely related function.
Expertise in statistical forecasting methods (regression, time series, exponential smoothing).
Strong experience with ERP and planning tools (M3, RELEX, SAP IBP, Oracle, Anaplan, Kinaxis, etc.).
Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in cross-functional environments; consulting experience a plus.
Expert-level Excel skills (Power Query, advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA a plus).
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and curiosity for problem-solving.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
