Qualification & Experience:
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 9–12 years of relevant experience in the purchase, operational procurement, in manufacturing industries.- Experience in planning, purchase of Mechanical commodities like Aluminium casting, machining, both domestic and import procurement handling, SAP, demand planning transactions.
- Advanced Excel skills – For data analysis, dashboards, and reporting.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes – Understanding of end-to-end demand, supply, and order management flow.
- Data interpretation and reporting – Ability to convert data insights into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for both domestic and international sources.- Strong understanding of forecasting techniques, demand analysis, and supply planning.
- Hands-on experience with SAP PP/MM (implementation experience is an advantage).
- High focus on data accuracy and logical decision-making.
- Proactive team player who can take initiative and support in colleagues absence.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Handle procurement of castings, machined components, required for production, with a focus on cost and freight optimization for Switchgear.
- Focus on supplier capacity planning, New parts development timelines, supplier development initiatives.
- Oversee inventory planning and management in alignment with dynamic product requirements.
- Establish and maintain safety stock levels for critical components related to delivery and quality.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives across procurement activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers while accelerating development timelines.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal business outcomes.
- Actively contribute to and drive departmental KPIs and strategic initiatives, including material management, cost optimization, freight
control, inventory planning, and localization efforts.
- Willingness to travel and conduct supplier visits as required by the business.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential.
- Candidates from the HV energy sector are preferred. However, candidates
from Automotive, Manufacturing, or Power industries will also be considered.
