Currently Seeking:

Wyatt Law is currently considering candidates with strong, demonstrable, writing, reading, and research skills for the position of Legal Writer. Legal Writers serve our clients by working closely with attorneys to assist in the drafting of settlement demand letters.

Non-negotiable Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Pre-Law, or related fields of study.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Draft and edit clear, concise, and compelling, demand letters.
  • Analyze medical records, review discovery, read through depositions, and synthesize expert reports.
  • Conduct research to support case development.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop and support legal arguments.
  • Produce high-quality written material in a timely manner.

Skills needed to be successful in this position:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Writing adaptability for a variety of contexts and targeted audiences.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Comfortable with using AI programs
  • Strong understanding of legal principles (personal injury and property damage laws)
  • Flexibility to quickly and effectively adjust to unexpected demands.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Practiced at reading and research.
  • Comfortable thinking creatively and critically.
  • Empathetic approach to working with clients.
  • Narrative, creative non-fiction, writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of, or ability to learn about, medical terminology and litigation processes related to personal injury law.
  • Intrinsic motivation to attain new skills and knowledge.
