Demi Chef De Partie

The Demi Chef de Partie assists the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality Arabic dishes, particularly Mandi and other traditional Middle Eastern cuisines. The role involves ensuring consistency in food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Mandi and other traditional Arabic dishes.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain food cost.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen areas.
  • Ensure all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, maintained, and stored.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily operations, mise en place, and stock rotation.
  • Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures as per UAE municipality standards.
  • Receive and store deliveries while checking for quality and quantity.
  • Assist in training commis and kitchen helpers when required.
  • Report any maintenance issues or shortages to the Sous Chef promptly.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Arabic or Mandi restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Arabic cuisine, especially Mandi preparation (rice, meat marination, and traditional cooking techniques).
  • Good understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
