Role Overview
DIMO’S Café & Restaurant is seeking a skilled and disciplined Demi Chef to support our fast-growing Italian–Mediterranean café & late-night dining concept. The Demi Chef will be responsible for executing menu items with consistency, supporting section control, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting senior chefs during high-volume service hours.
This role is ideal for a chef who understands quality, speed, presentation, and SOP-driven kitchens.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Execution
- Prepare and execute dishes as per DIMO’S standardized recipes and plating guidelines
- Handle mise-en-place independently for assigned kitchen sections
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Support breakfast, all-day dining, and late-night service operations
Section & Service Support
- Assist Chef de Partie in managing assigned kitchen section
- Ensure smooth coordination during peak hours and late-night service
- Support training and supervision of Commis Chefs
- Maintain speed without compromising quality
Quality, Hygiene & Compliance
- Strict adherence to Dubai Municipality & HACCP food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, cold storage, and equipment
- Ensure FIFO, correct labeling, and stock rotation
- Report equipment issues or safety hazards immediately
Cost Control & Discipline
- Minimize food wastage and follow portion control
- Handle ingredients responsibly as per cost guidelines
- Follow kitchen SOPs, checklists, and reporting formats
Team & Brand Culture
- Maintain a professional, calm, and respectful kitchen attitude
- Support DIMO’S brand standards of premium presentation and consistency
- Work collaboratively with service and bar teams
Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Certification
- Diploma / Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred)
- HACCP or Food Safety Training is an advantage
Experience
- 2–4 years experience in a professional kitchen
- Minimum 1 year experience as Commis Chef
- Experience in Italian / Continental / Café kitchens preferred
- UAE experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong basic cooking and knife skills
- Knowledge of Italian & café-style preparations (pasta, breakfast, light mains)
- Ability to work under pressure during peak and late-night hours
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- SOP-driven and quality-focused mindset
Physical & Work Conditions
- Ability to stand for long hours
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and late nights

Pay: AED3,300.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
