Demolition Laborer MUST KNOW HOW TO OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Demolition Laborer with proven expertise in operating heavy machinery to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently demolishing structures while expertly handling various types of heavy equipment. Your mechanical knowledge and construction site experience will be essential in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and with the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging demolition projects, utilizing your machinery operation skills to make a tangible impact.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers to perform demolition tasks safely and efficiently
• Prepare demolition sites by setting up equipment and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
• Assist in the removal of debris and materials using mechanical equipment such as concrete mixers and loaders
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly
• Follow detailed demolition plans and adhere to project timelines while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks effectively on busy construction sites
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, safety checks, and project progress

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong focus on demolition activities
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other relevant equipment
• Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, or tankers
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and protocols
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
