Demolition Welder
Tactical Demolition is seeking an experienced and dependable Demolition Welder to join our growing team. This position is responsible for performing structural cutting, torch work, welding, fabrication, and demolition-related metal removal on commercial, industrial, and heavy civil projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in demolition environments and be comfortable operating cutting torches, welding equipment, and hand tools while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks on demolition and construction projects
- Operate oxy-fuel cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other metal-cutting equipment
- Remove structural steel, tanks, piping, equipment, and miscellaneous metal components
- Assist with dismantling and demolition of commercial and industrial structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, demolition plans, and project specifications
- Fabricate and repair equipment attachments, guards, brackets, and miscellaneous steel components
- Work closely with project superintendents and field crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of welding and cutting equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience required
- Previous demolition, industrial, structural steel, or heavy construction experience preferred
- Proficient in oxy-fuel torch cutting and structural steel removal
- Ability to weld using MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core processes
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Demolition industry experience
- OSHA 10
- Heavy equipment experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
