Dental Assistant (1 year experience)

Dental Assistant Position

We are a small, family-oriented dental practice looking to expand our team with a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant.

At least 1 year of dental assisting experience- A friendly, positive attitude with excellent communication skills- A true team player who is willing to support coworkers and contribute to a smooth workflow- Someone reliable, organized, and motivated- A professional who helps create a comfortable and caring experience for our patients

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting the dentist during procedures- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and operatories- Taking radiographs (as permitted by state regulations)- Supporting front and back office as needed- Helping maintain a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment

Core Competencies:
Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience
CPR Certification
Xray certification
Infection control certification
Prior knowledge of Open Dental Software is a plus, but not required as we will provide training

Essential Functions:
Excellent communication skills (You are the 1st impression of our team!)
Impeccable organization for inventory control
A willingness to be flexible and accommodating for patients
Consistent in cleanliness, timeliness and service
Mastery in assisting during restorative procedures as well as crown and bridge, extractions, root canal.

Duties:

Updating electronic patient records using computers
Taking x-rays
Assisting chair-side
Set up, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize operatories and instruments
Maintain compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA and HIPPA
Assisting with lab tasks
Assisting with front office tasks as needed
Perform other related job duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
