Pediatric and Orthodontic Assistant

Mindful Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is a brand new pediatric and orthodontic dental practice that is rapidly growing and we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a startup environment where your ideas and energy will help shape the patient experience and the culture of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional chairside assistance to both pediatric and orthodontic patients
• Prepare and turn over operatories efficiently between patients
• Sterilize and organize instruments following proper infection control procedures
• Take digital radiographs and photographs
• Provide comfort and reassurance to young patients and parents throughout the visit
• Assist with charting, treatment notes and maintaining accurate patient records
• Assist with social media and ground marketing initiatives, including participation in community events
• Support the front office with answering phones, scheduling appointments and checking patients in and out as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience (pediatric or orthodontic experience a plus), however training will be provided
• RDA Certificate
• X-Ray Certificate
• Nitrous Certification a plus, or must be willing to get nitrous, sealant and prophy certification
• Experience with Oryx dental software a plus, however training will be provided
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Warm, patient and professional demeanor, especially with children and families
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help whenever needed

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
