Dental Assistant

Petoskey Dental Associates is looking for a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. Our practice is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care in a friendly and professional environment. We are seeking someone who is organized, reliable, and enjoys working closely with patients to help create a positive dental experience.

Schedule: Full-time: 36+ hours/week

Pay: $20-$23/hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental xrays
• Ensure patients feel comfortable before, during, and after procedures
• Provide patients with instructions following treatment
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
• Follow infection control and sterilization protocols

Qualifications:

• Dental assisting experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
• X-ray certification preferred (but will pay for radiography course if needed for the right candidate)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
