Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures within the practice.
• Support the dentist in various specialties, including Prosthodontics and Pediatrics.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
• Ability to take X-rays efficiently and safely.
• Strong organizational skills for managing medical records and patient information systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• A proactive approach to learning new techniques and staying updated on best practices in dental care.
