Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed.
• Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures.
• Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards and sterilization procedures.
• Assist with medical imaging techniques and take vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely.
• Certification or training in chairside assisting; CPR certification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members across specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics. Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
