Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental practice's daily operations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
• Take and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
• Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
• Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
• Employ aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Assist in pediatric dentistry, ensuring children feel comfortable during their visits.
• Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
• Experience with medical records management systems, preferably Epic.
• Understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique practices in a clinical setting.
• Previous experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
