Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental practice's daily operations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
- Take and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
- Employ aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry, ensuring children feel comfortable during their visits.
- Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with medical records management systems, preferably Epic.
- Understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique practices in a clinical setting.
- Previous experience assisting in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patient care.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
