Duties
- Assist dentists with clinical procedures including chairside support during restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and implant procedures
- Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, following all safety guidelines
- Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care planning
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Proficiency with Dentrix for efficient documentation and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner operation
- Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols in a dental clinic environment
- Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for increased efficiency and patient comfort
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, parents, and team members
