Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental materials.
• Take and develop X-ray images using digital imaging systems such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners while maintaining safety standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy standards using Dentrix Ascend.
• Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and answering patient inquiries professionally.
• Apply aseptic techniques and maintain strict infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a private dental office is required, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing dental materials is essential.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology is necessary for effective communication and documentation.
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend is preferred.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including I-Tero 3D scanners and X-ray machines confidently.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and data privacy.
• Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is advantageous; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus. Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives through compassionate care and technical excellence!

Pay: $25.19 - $30.34 per hour
