We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures. This role involves assisting dentists during various treatments, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available
• Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative duties as needed, including medical documentation
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
• Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in medical imaging procedures
• Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable experience

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred
• Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
• Experience in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and chairside assisting is advantageous
• Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is beneficial

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
