Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.
  • Assist dentists chairside during various treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
  • Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and assisting with patient comfort throughout visits.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental receptionist team.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure safety for patients and staff.

Skills

  • Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental or Epic for managing medical records and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures.
  • Experience with chairside assisting techniques across various specialties like pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
  • Ability to operate dental X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices accurately.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient interactions; capable of explaining procedures clearly.
