Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are a one dentist general dental practice, well established over 25 years and committed to providing excellent and professional oral care to our family of patients. We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant with a personable attitude to join our dynamic dental team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. We welcome recent graduates and experienced applicants to apply.

Current New Jersey State dental x-ray license is required.

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
• Assist dentist during various treatments across general dentistry
• Take x-rays, vital signs and patient assessments to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices.
• Help in administrative tasks at the front desk as needed
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Schedule

Mon: 8:45-5:30 with 1 hour lunch

Tues: 8:45-2:00

Wed: 12:45-6:30

Thur: 12:45-6:30

Sat: 8:45-1:00 (one Sat/month)

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
