Dental Assistant

Job Overview
Join our general practice as a Dental Assistant, to support the dentist during procedures, manage patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. Although prior dental assisting experience is not required, we are seeking an individual who is reliable, punctual, accountable, professional and adaptive to a fast pace of patient care. Attention to detail, a friendly disposition and a willingness and ability to learn will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services while fostering a welcoming environment for all.

Responsibilities
Assist dentist during a wide range of dental procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety. Provide chairside assistance by supporting four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain a clean, organized environment by adhering to infection control standards. Take and process dental X-rays and medical imaging with precision, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient care. Manage patient records accurately and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements
Previous experience working in a dental clinical setting as a dental assistant with radiology certification is highly preferred but not required. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental assisting best practices is desired. Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other medical imaging tools confidently. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy is critical to ensure patient safety. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices to maintain confidentiality and proper documentation. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist may be required to coordinate appointments and patient inquiries effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
