Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including cleanings, restorations, crowns, root canals, and prosthodontic treatments
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to support patient assessment
• Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices using clear dental terminology
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing dental office communication as a dental receptionist
• Support pediatric dentistry and endodontic procedures with enthusiasm and professionalism

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental assisting or dental clinic experience preferred; certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document patient information efficiently
• Ability to assess patient needs through patient assessment techniques and vital signs measurement
• Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized areas like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable
• Exceptional communication skills to interact confidently with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
