Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a blend of technical skills and interpersonal abilities to assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take dental X-rays as needed, ensuring proper safety measures are followed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Eaglesoft systems.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients.
- Support endodontic and prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting with techniques.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft dental management software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures.
- Understanding of infection control practices to maintain a safe environment.
- Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Solid anatomy knowledge relevant to dental practices.
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
- Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation and scheduling.
