Responsibilities
Assist dentists during procedures by preparing and passing instruments, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners, adhering strictly to infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patient comfort by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using proper dental terminology, and addressing any concerns with professionalism. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Assist with chairside procedures across general dentistry specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and manage medical coding for billing purposes.

Qualifications
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including X-ray taking, chairside assisting, and aseptic technique is essential. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology is required. Familiarity with Patterson Eaglesoft, for medical documentation, is advantageous. Ability to accurately record vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures demonstrates your comprehensive clinical skills. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team. A valid certification in dental assisting or equivalent training is necessary; ongoing professional development in areas like HIPAA compliance or medical coding is a plus. Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
